Lodi Memorial Hospital raised more than $90,000 after 1,530 people participated in the annual Walk for the Health of It event on Saturday.

Some 1,530 people either ran or walked 5 kilometers, or 3.1 miles, rode in wheelchairs or played poker as they walked the course, according to Donna Shaw, who organized the walk. That included 102-year-old Mary Caristo and 101-year-old John McLaugh, among the 45 people who used wheelchairs to negotiate the course.
