The San Joaquin County Planning Commission will hear a request for a year's time extension to build Our Lady of Lebanon, a Christian church planned northeast of Highway 99 and Eight Mile Road.

Plans call for a 9,000-square-foot church and community center for up to 125 people. Services will be held on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.

In other action, the Planning Commission will consider:

  • Site approval for Bear Creek Solar plant on a 22.3-acre parcel on the east side of Jack Tone Road, just south of Victor Road. The unmanned plant would produce 1.5-megawatts.
  • Renaming Star Street between De Broggi Road and Highway 12 in Flag City to Thornton Road; renaming Thornton Road between De Broggi Road and Highway 12 to Pennant Drive.

Thursday's meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the county Public Health/Planning Auditorium, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton.
