The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Today

San Joaquin County General Plan forum

Key item:

  • Public input on where residential and business growth should be in the county in the next 20 years.

When and where: 7 p.m., Lodi Elks Lodge, 19071 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Tuesday

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • Authorize a railroad safety and quiet zone study.
  • Present the preliminary design for the Central Galt corridor rehabilitation and the Union Pacific railroad parking lot.
  • Discuss parking limits on Lincoln Way between A and C streets.
  • Approve a loan consolidation agreement between the city of Galt and the city’s redevelopment agency.
  • Authorize $1,500 for the Galt Youth Committee’s fiscal year 2011 to 2012 activities and special events budget.

When and where: 7 p.m., City Hall, Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Recreation Commission

Key items:

  • Approve memorial bench and plaque donation in memory of Coach Don Womble.
  • Discuss Roget Park.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi City Council

Key item:

  • Receive presentation regarding fiscal year 2011-12 budget.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Unified School District board of trustees

Key items:

  • Recognize a number of students, including Tyson Bonaparte, Bear Creek High School student, for his achievement of earning the highest rank possible in the Academic Honor Society.
  • Vote on an agreement with T-Mobile to install a cell tower light standard at the Bear Creek High School football field.
  • Decide whether to expand the new Katnich Community Day School to the Turner Elementary School site.
  • Take action on a policy that would allow the district to create advertising opportunities at school sites and Web sites for outside private organizations.
  • Hear a report on the possible creation of a nonprofit district foundation to generate funds for co-curricular activities.
  • Receive the 2010-11 Superintendent’s Budget Advisory Committee report and recommendations.
  • Consider suspending a section of board policy allowing physical education credit in athletics in order to align the policy with practice, have a committee review the issue and make a recommendation at a future board meeting.

San Joaquin County General Plan forum

Key item:

  • Public input on where residential and business growth should be in the county in the next 20 years.

When and where: 7 p.m., Thornton Library, 26341 N. Thornton Road, Thornton.

San Joaquin General Hospital Executive/Finance Committee

Key item:

  • Proposed budget for 2011-12 fiscal year.

When and where: County administrator’s office conference room, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Sixth floor, Stockton.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Meeting canceled.

Wednesday

Lodi City Council

Key items:

  • Authorize staff to modify compensation for council appointees, executive management and confidential employees.
  • Accept concession proposal from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers bargaining group.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Mokelumne Rural Fire District board

Key items:

  • Boy Scout Troop 199 dedication.
  • Energy audit.
  • Health insurance.
  • Extrication tool maintenance.

When and where: 7 p.m., fire station, 11357 E. Brandt Road, Lockeford.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors special meeting

Key items:

  • Possible hiring of CEO for San Joaquin General Hospital (closed session).
  • Conference with labor negotiator regarding several labor unions (closed session).

When and where: 3 p.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Thursday

North San Joaquin Water Conservation District board

Key item: Discuss, select legal counsel.

When and where: 1 p.m., Lodi Police Department community room, 215 W. Elm St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Planning Commission

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Health auditorium, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton.

Saturday

Lodi Unified School District board of trustees study session

Key item: Discuss the budget for next school year.

When and where: 9 a.m., James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St., Lodi.
