Independence Day Celebration committee members in Galt are already planning for this year's celebration, which includes adding a parade. The event will be held on July 4.

Plans are to hold a children's parade at 9 a.m., and a main parade at 10 a.m.

Entrants are being sought to participate in both parades, and participation will be free. Entry categories include autos, color guard, floats, tractors, youth sports and more.

If you or your group would like to participate in the parade or you would like more information, contact parade coordinator Brenda Renfrow at 209-712-4405.

Entry forms can be found on the city's website at ci.galt.ca.us, on the Parks and Recreation page.
