Following the weekend storms, East Bay Municipal Utility District reduced water flows being released from Camanche Reservoir on Monday. Prior to the weekend, water was being released from the reservoir at a rate of 2,800 cubic feet per second.
The rate is now 2,600 cubic feet per second. The reduction is being done in phases because river banks can become saturated during periods of higher flows and become weakened, said Charles Hardy, a spokesperson for EBMUD.
