A Lodi man who nearly drowned in the middle of Lodi Lake on Sunday morning was in fair condition at Lodi Memorial Hospital on Thursday afternoon, according to Carol Farron, the hospital’s community development director.
The man, who swam about halfway across the lake, was placed in a medically induced coma at the hospital after firefighters and ambulance paramedics rescued him on Sunday, Lodi police Sgt. Doug Chinn said.
Police are investigating what caused the near-drowning, Chinn said.
