A Lodi man sustained only minor injuries after being carjacked by four subjects late Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident occurred in a parking lot on the 200 block of East Pine Street around 10:30 p.m., when the man was approached by three females and a male, said Lt. Tod Patterson of the Lodi Police Department. The subjects entered the car and two of them drew knives on the victim, he said.
"The suspect behind the driver held a knife to his throat, while the driver's side passenger held one at his side," Patterson said.
The suspects demanded a ride to Stockton, and the driver sustained a small cut on his neck during the drive, he said.
"They told him they would kill him," Patterson said.
The victim drove the subjects to an unknown location in Stockton where one suspect went inside and stayed for about 20 minutes, police said. The victim was then made to drive to another unknown location on Carpenter Road, where he was removed from the vehicle, Patterson said. The driver's wallet and cellular phone were taken by the suspects, and several shots were fired at him as the vehicle drove away, police said.
The type of gun used is unclear, Patterson said.
Police are looking for: A 5-foot, 7-inch, 20-year-old Hispanic male with brown hair who weighs about 170 pounds; a 5-foot, 2-inch, 18-year-old Hispanic female with black hair; a 5-foot, 7-inch, 20-year-old white female with brown hair; and a 5-foot, 2-inch, 24-year-old Hispanic female with brown hair.
