Steve Schwabauer, Interim City Manager

“This doesn’t give back as near as much as employees have given to the city when we entered into this. But I do believe our employees should be recognized for the five years they’ve given back to the city.”

The city of Lodi on Wednesday thanked more employees for their sacrifices during the recession by agreeing to one-time payments similar to those given to city mid-management, maintenance and operations, general services and confidential employees in January.

The Lodi City Council voted 4-0 to approve one-time benefit adjustments totaling $463,525 for three police unions on Wednesday night.
