Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton, and Democratic Reps. George Miller, Mike Thompson, Doris Matsui and John Garamendi criticized the newest version of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan and called for a delay in putting it into effect.
McNerney and the other members of Congress called the report harmful to farmers, families and small-business owners in the Delta. Their remarks were made in a letter to Gov. Jerry Brown and U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
