Dancing, police relations, train safety highlight Celebration on Central in Lodi
Lodi police Detective Larry Fluty, who serves on the SWAT team,
shows Virvev Bautista, 9, the proper way to hold a rifle during the
Celebration on Central on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. Virvev, 9, is in
third grade at Heritage Elementary School. Fluty said the police
department's purpose at the event was to show that the officer's
job is to protect the community.

Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. Roider, who also had a booth during the
summer's Farmers Market in Downtown Lodi, said his main goal is to
keep people from being killed on railroad tracks.
