Lodi Police Department

Sunday

2:35 a.m.: A drunk driver crashed a maroon van into a pole on Maple Street near South Cherokee Lane, and four people then tried to push the vehicle into the street.

7:56 a.m.: Two people reported that their tires were slashed in the 1500 block of South Mills Avenue.

10:18 a.m.: A bird was trapped and beating against an upstairs window in the Sheriff's Lodi building North Lee Avenue.

10:18 a.m.: Jewelry valued at more than $500 was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Idlewild Drive.

10:53 a.m.: A storage shed was burglarized at Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine St.

11:35 a.m.: A landscaping trailer was stolen in the 2300 block of Maggio Circle.

12:44 p.m.: Juveniles in the street were passing a pipe and playing football in the 200 block of Watson Street.

4:38 p.m.: A woman's purse was stolen at Mervyn's on Friday, and on Sunday, her husband thought a waitress was wearing his wife's bracelet at Mazatlan Cafe, 125 N. School St.

Monday

12:09 a.m.: A gray, four-door Honda Accord was stolen in the 0-100 block of North Washington Street and was last seen headed west on Pine Street.

12:32 a.m.: A man reported that a woman had called him over to a blue, four-door 1991 Acura near AM/PM, 800 E. Kettleman Lane, an hour earlier. Two males then covered his eyes, took him to a field and robbed him.

6:29 a.m.: A yellow 1984 Chevrolet was stolen in the 500 block of West Century Boulevard.

6:35 a.m.: A heavy-set man in a blue flannel shirt was carrying a huge branch, claiming to have just fallen out of a tree. He was in the yard of a woman who lives in the 400 block of Maple Street.

10:56 a.m.: A woman in the 2000 block of Aspen Grove Drive lent her car to a man a month earlier and he hadn't returned it yet.

11:48 a.m.: A vehicle was parked in a man's driveway in the 300 block of East Harney Lane. On it was a sign saying that the occupants had run out of gas.

12:38 p.m.: Nobody was injured in an accident involving a Grapeline bus on West Lodi Avenue at South Crescent Street.

Thursday

8:44 a.m.: An auto burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Raven Brook Drive.

11:24 a.m.: Someone reportedly broke into a vehicle in the 700 block of Morgans Ranch Road.

Friday

7:20 a.m.: A 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix was reported stolen on Matthew Court.

Sunday

6:17 a.m.: Someone reportedly broke into a vehicle in the 1000 block of Raven Brook Drive.

6:28 p.m.: A burglary was reported in the 400 block of Fifth Street.
