The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Galt Youth Committee

When and where: 6 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission

Key items:

  • Discuss Pigskin Dance details and a concert at One-Eighty Teen Center.
  • Discuss a report to the city council on Nov. 21.

When and where: 6 p.m. Hutchins Street Square, Cottage Room, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.


San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Public hearing on Judy and Romano Isola’s appeal of the county Planning Commission’s approval of St. Jorge Winery’s expansion plans in western Acampo (1:30 p.m. calendar).
  • Contract with Drill Tech Drilling & Shoring to dig additional wells in the Linden area to find remains of murder victims.
  • Increase county Enterprise Zone boundary to include parts of Lodi, Woodbridge, Lockeford and Clements.
  • Agreement with city of Stockton authorizing the Stockton Fire Department to provide advanced life support services.
  • Consider continuing to sponsor annual Senior Awareness day.
  • Make appointments to the Lodi and Thornton Community Center advisory boards.

When and where: 9 a.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Lodi Unified School District Board of Trustees

Key item: Reviewing the Williams Act report on whether school facilities are up to code.

When and where 7 p.m., Jame Areida Education Support Center, 1305 East Vine Street, Lodi.

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • Authorize an additional $25,500 in consultant fees for the Golden Heights Water Treatment Plant project.
  • Accept the treasurer’s report for the period ending September 2012.
  • Approve the Lighting of the Night event and appropriate $3,050 for expenses.
  • Receive a report on the development permit streamlining process.
  • Cancel the regularly scheduled Jan. 1, 2013 city council meeting due to the New Year’s Day holiday.

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi City Council shirtsleeves

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Lodi Parks and Recreation Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.


Lodi City Council

Key items:

  • Adopt an uncodified interim urgency ordinance to establish a moratorium on the outdoor cultivation of medical marijuana within the city of Lodi and the indoor cultivation of marijuana that creates a public nuisance.
  • Adopt a resolution approving a debt management policy.
  • Approve the Lodi Tourism Business Improvement District 2013 annual report, adopt a resolution of an intention to levy the annual assessment and set a public hearing for Nov. 21.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.


Woodbridge Irrigation District Board of Directors

When and where: 9 a.m., Woodbridge Irrigation District Office, 18750 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council

Key items:

  • Woodbridge Excellence Awards to five individuals — Mary Fuhs, the Woodbridge Irrigation District, the First Missionary Baptist Church of Woodbridge and two people under the age of 18, Ben Deckert and Spencer Dayton.
  • Discuss replacing a “Welcome to Woodbridge” sign that was stolen on Woodbridge Road.
  • Receive an estimate on private security service for Woodbridge.
  • Discuss asking San Joaquin County to install a bicycle lane on Woodbridge Road.

When and where: 7 p.m., Lodi Elks Lodge, 19071 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Galt Planning Commission

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Galt Commission on Aging

Key item: Update of Senior Resource Guide.

When and where: 5:15 p.m., Denny’s, 1055 C St., Galt.

Reclamation District 348 Board of Directors

Key items:

  • Approve Delta levee maintenance work agreements for the 2012-13 fiscal year in the Thornton area.
  • District engineer’s report.

When and where: 2 p.m., Croce & Co., 501 W. Weber Ave., fifth floor, Stockton.
