The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Galt City Council

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Unified School District

Key items:

  • Spotlight presentation on Independence School.
  • Resolution to award contract and begin work on the extension of the Washington Elementary School intercom system.

When and Where: 7 p.m., James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 East Vine St., Lodi.


Lodi Arts Commission

Key item: Receive updates on speaking engagements, the Art Advisory Board, Art Hop, the arts calendar and website, the Lodi Arts Foundation report.

When and where: 1 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Planning Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.


Galt Planning Commission

Key items:

  • Recommend to the City Council the adoption of an ordinance regarding the keeping of egg-laying chickens.
  • Review and make recommendations and/or revisions as needed to finalize the first Planning Commission annual report for presentation to the City Council.
  • Report the Planning Director’s approval to erect and operate a 40-foot-tall amateur radio antenna and related equipment in the 900 block of Roundstone Drive.

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve and special session

Key items:

  • Authorize the mayor, on behalf of the council, to send a letter in opposition to Assembly Bill 2451, which deals with workers’ compensation.
  • Receive utility financial reports for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2011 to 2012.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.
