A Galt police officer and a suspect were both fatally shot and killed near F Street between 3rd and 4th streets in Galt on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.

A Galt police officer shot by a suspect this morning has died, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department has confirmed. The suspect reportedly committed suicide. His body appears to still be at the scene.
