i find this story , very sad, for the Community of Galt. i have been following Acampo n Galt, Lodi, for some 4 years now. i have an Internet acquaintance , that lives not more than a few blocks from the shooting location. i hear the train horn from the rail line often, as i listen to her on Video Chat. the hand gun killings here happen far to often. i read these news feeds, and have clipped most stories. it comes down to youth, being irresponsible, youth acting out in hostility and family values not being supported by adult male members of the community. " gun killings have to stop!" Men, young men, n adult boys, get together, talk this out, talk about what manhood really means, my internet acquaintance, tells me, of these happenings, and near happenings, " most often " she things it is getting very bad, Please men get together on this, Fill a community center, n talk this over. i love my internet acquaintance so much " sisters " that i am willing to come down from Vancouver Canada, and help out. Do some serious thinking of what has just gone down. Your community deserves your best effort rtg. yvr.ca

This is a excerpt from this article: The City Clerk has posted a notice that the Galt City Council meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
Why is the city counsel canceling city business? Because a law enforcement officer was killed? How many times does the city of Galt stop business because a citizen has died? It makes no sense.
Are the police more important than the regular citizen? Apparently so....
Law enforcement love what they do, they get a thrill from it. They and everyone else knows its dangerous and they know they could very well die as a result! They are NOT special, they do a job, they are civil servants just like a city sweeper or a laborer!
I would be more concerned that the police are doing their jobs in the right way and following the laws of this land than I would giving them special treatment!

So very sorry to hear that the officer was killed in the line of duty. He had a K-9 partner and evidently will never know why he didn`t send the dog. I am an animal lover and would have hated to see his dog shot if he was sent. However it would be better to train and get another dog rather than see an officer loose his life if sending the dog could have prevented it. RIP.

My condolences for the Officer's family and loved ones. R.I.P.
What a freaking coward that shot him and then shot himself... Disgusting.

The Office didn't make it.

Shoot cop, then shoot and kill yourself, typical coward. Hopfully the officer will live to patrol another day.
