Just take $10 out of every check of every city employee (especially the Mayor, City Manager, and the city counsel) and every Police officer in Lodi, California.

    Problem solved!

Doug, You seem to be familiar with Lodi's politics, thanks for posting. I believe an honest straightforward intelligent post is 100 times more effective at making change than simply commenting on some other commenters intelligence.

Here in Sacramento 'they' sometimes have SECRET council meetings. That is a meeting where You and I are NOT invited and we will NOT be allowed.

I have been assured they do not discuss new 'zoning laws' or any such ' lets get rich' plans. But I've never seen the 'why' we citizens should NOT attend.

If You figure it out I am happy to listen.

Parks and rec is cash strapped because the COL dumps all their hidden costs and perks to them, resulting in a one million dollar or so loss to black money pit at Hutchins Street Square. Now Mr. Hood probably knows why the last parks and rec director left. Lodi favors cutting programs at parks and rec that really affect the seniors and low income, while pandering to every whim of the good ol' boys system that seems to still dominate Lodi. With the three councilmen who always vote together to pass any issue they so desire, they are rumored to be high on the pecking order of the good ol' boy clan. Their financial status also seems to have grown enormously since their election to city council and their constant appointments of their good ol' boy acquanitances to the important boards and commissions in Lodi. Livable, lovable Lodi. Thank you, three amigos, for making Lodi a better place. That is, if you don't happen to live on the eastside in many of the slumhouses owned by your good ol' boy group, and even yourselves.
