The Lodi Salvation Army is gearing up for its eighth annual Kettle Kick-Off Luncheon on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Chardonnay Hall at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds.
The culinary arts program will provide a full turkey lunch. There will also be a bell-ringing competition, where community leaders will participate in a frenzied ringing of the bells.
The traditional storefront kettle drive will be held from Monday through Dec. 24 at various locations. Proceeds will fund various community needs as well as Salvation Army programs.
