Dottie is a 1-year-old, spayed, white with black spots, wire-hair terrier mix. She weighs about eight pounds. Dottie came to PALS with a broken rear leg and had to have a cast put on which will be removed this week.

Dottie is really sweet, friendly and enjoys other small dogs. If you are interested in adopting Dottie, come and meet her.

Dottie is being offered for adoption through PALS, a Lodi-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in Lodi. For more information about Dottie, please call PALS at 209-224-0354 or e-mail pals.lodi@yahoo.com.

Sasha is a beautiful, 8-month-old, purebred American Pit Bull Terrier. She is spayed, her vaccinations are current, and she has a microchip. Sasha is house-trained and is a house dog.

Sasha knows the commands “sit,” “stay” and “down.” She is gentle, affectionate and is a good watch dog. Sasha is playful, will retrieve and thinks she is a lap dog. She loves children, gets along with other dogs and rides well in the car. She is also leash trained and walks will on a leash.

Sasha has been abandoned more than one, through no fault of her own, so we want a family that has the time and lots of love to give her. She would do best in a home that can take her to work or works from home. She is really sweet and will be a great loving companion.

Sasha is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Sasha, call 209-368-1761 or 209-365-0535.

To view other dogs and cats available for adoption, visit the sanctuary at 933 S. Cherokee Lane, Lodi, or visit www.animalfriendsconnect.org and www.petfinder.com/shelters/afc.html. Sanctuary hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekends.
