A Lodi man was arrested Friday after a fight with a homeowner left him with injuries to his legs, said the Lodi Police Department.
Police responded to a call reporting a fight on the 500 block of Hillborn Street. Fredy Ramos, 19, was drinking with several other males and causing a disturbance, said Sgt Fernando Martinez.
A resident asked the group to keep the noise down. Ramos grew belligerent and brandished a knife, threatening to stab the homeowner, said police. The resident retrieved a wooden baton and struck Ramos twice in the upper leg in an attempt to fend him off, police said.
Police separated the pair. Ramos was treated for minor injuries at Lodi Memorial Hospital then released according to police. He was arrested for brandishing a weapon, terrorist threats and contributing to the delinquency of minors, said Martinez.
The term ‘terrorist threats’ refer to threats by an individual to bodily harm another person, not necessarily involving bombs or guns, said Martinez.
