The Lodi Unified School District is sponsoring a one-day seminar on bullying as it relates to girls.
Nationally recognized speaker and social worked Kaye Randall will offer tips and tools on how to recognize and deal with relational aggression among girls. She'll cover the impact of social networking in the real world, practical steps to empower girls, plus interventions and lessons to use in the classroom and beyond.
The event is paid for through a $6,500 grant from the San Joaquin County Office of Education and Early Intervention. Teachers, counselors and school administrators are invited to attend as well as social workers and law enforcement.
The workshop begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 13 at Lincoln Technical Academy, located at 542 E. Pine St. Space is limited to 100 participants. Please email Bear Creek High School Counselor Pham-Peck at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot.
