On Tuesday, the Lodi Unified School District board of education:
- Introduced the new student body presidents for Lodi and Tokay high schools, Ryan Ozminkowski and Alexa Douros.
- Approved a credential waiver for a driver’s education teacher.
- Heard concerns from a staff member at Sutherland Elementary School about a transportation issue that prevents students from enrolling in Henderson Day School, which the staff member said would best suit their needs moving into middle school. Students are picked up from a public park at 6:30 a.m. in North Stockton to take the bus, and parents have raised questions of safety.

When teachers and staff walked into the McNair High School library on July 21, they found a flooded mess.
A valve in the water pipes got stuck and allowed gallons of water to seep through the walls and soak through the tiles on the floor, according to Warren Sun, Lodi Unified School District director of operations.
