On Tuesday, the Lodi Unified School District board also:
- Approved the renewal of Benjamin Holt Preparatory Academy's charter. The high school is part of the Aspire Public Schools system, and now has permission to continue operations from July 2013 through June 2018.
- Unanimously approved a request to receive proposals to renovate the kitchens at two Lodi Unified schools. The projects will include complete kitchen renovations at Lakewood Elementary and Morada Middle schools, along with upgrades to restrooms.
- Endorsed trustees George Neely and Ron Heberle to represent San Joaquin County as delegates to the California School Board Association. If selected by the other school boards in the county, they will each serve two year terms from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2015. Official results will be available by April 1.

A committee of concerned citizens who have met regularly for 10 years will no longer discuss how to manage the $109 million bond passed by voters in 2002.
The seven-member Measure K Oversight Committee met on Jan. 23 to present its final report, and informed Tim Hern, chief business officer and associate superintendent of Lodi Unified School District, that their work was done.
