Students from Lodi High School participated in the 46th annual California State SkillsUSA Championships held in San Diego on April 4 through 7, and took medals in a number of categories.

More than 200 competitors from across the state competed in technical careers ranging from health care to construction to automotive and computer industries.

Competitors had three to six hours to complete industry-developed problems.

Out of the nine Lodi High School students who attended, four won.

Lodi High swept the Architectural Design contest with Elize Evans taking gold, Nick Somera taking silver and Jazmin Valdez taking bronze. Jake Ramirez won gold in Introductory Drafting.
