A skydiver identified as a Lodi resident has died after he fell out of his parachute harness during a jump.

Yolo County sheriff's Sgt. Hector Bautista says the man made the jump over the Yolo County Airport in Davis at about 6 p.m. Saturday. He died at a hospital.

According to the San José Mercury News, Yolo County Sheriff's Department spokesman Mark Persons identified the man as Andrew Todd Cofer, 23. Various news sites identified him as a Lodi resident.

Cofer was an experienced skydiver, Bautista said.

The accident is under investigation.
