Identified Harvey Park as an eligible site for a state grant of $169,400. The funding application must be approved by the state. The park rehabilitation project could include new fencing, restroom facilities, field improvements and play equipment for toddlers, among other things.
Approved a $267,079 construction agreement for well rehabilitation on eight of the city’s wells, plus $69,195 for contingency in case repairs need to be made, according to Public Works Director Steven Winkler.
Authorized City Manager Jason Behrmann to award a contract for $34,920, with a $3,580 contingency, for design and engineering services for the Carillon Boulevard/Simmerhorn Road Water Main Improvements project.

When the city of Galt opened the Parks and Recreation office last month during unusually cold daytime temperatures and overnight freezes, its employees were following the city’s emergency plan.
The warming center provided a place where residents without heat could spend the day or night.
