Knight in shining armor Stephanie Hollingsworth, 20, who works in the Lodi News-Sentinel mailroom, assembled an impressive 80-pound suit of chainmail.

She spooled electric fencing wire around a metal dowel to form a long spring, which she then clipped into small rings and fastened together to form mail.

The suit used three-quarters of a mile of wire and cost about $120.

To complete the suit, Hollingsworth has greaves and bracers, or armor plates, which cover her shins and forearms. There’s a helmet at home, too, but it doesn’t fit over the mail, she said.

Not that it has anything to do with this particular article and Mr. Birch has every right to void it but perhaps some can relate.
I always figured the best thing you can do for a homeless person was to give them a shirt and tie. Anything else would be useless.

The difference between pluses and minuses. Stephanie Hollingsworth gave of herself. It diserved giving back and moving forward. I think it would be a great first date garmet myself (as a father).

Todd that is completely uncalled for and you should apologize. Medieval games have been going on for as long as I can remember. We used to do it in College. We had Swords, Lances & the Jousting Tournaments were great. In 30 years I have not seen anyone using drugs at these events. I am pretty sure you would be banned if you did.

    Why was my commit removed?
What policy was it in violation of?

Heavy Metal Band? Is it bullet proof ? Kevlar's better. Does it have a triple prong plug at the bottom? - ZAP! You light up my life. Bit Heavy ? - What a drag. Custom built dress complete with washing instructions and warnings on the tag. (Remove dress BEFORE jumping in river)
WOW - I've never seen a hobby quite like that before. Suppose that is part of what the thrill of the Highland Games are about. - Good job. - Hope the horse can handle it.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
