A middle school teacher has been arrested for battery and was given a misdemeanor citation for his actions.

A conflict arose Tuesday between Jon Lapachet, 58, a physical education teacher at Lodi Middle School, and a vice principal at the school. Lapachet reportedly bumped into the vice principal and some words were exchanged, resulting in the administrator placing Lapachet under citizen's arrest, according to Lt. Fernando Martinez.

Martinez said the incident is still under investigation.

But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
