John and Terri Vanderheiden will be interviewed by TV-personality Anderson Cooper today at 3 p.m.
Viewers can tune into KCRA on channel 3 where the Vanderheidens will speak with Cooper about their daughter, 25-year-old Cyndi Vanderheiden, and the efforts it took to recover her remains. Topics may also include a discussion on Wesley Shermantine, Jr., who along with partner-in-crime Loren Herzog allegedly killed Cyndi Vanderheiden and others.
Cyndi Vanderheiden disappeared in November 1998 after she left a bar in Linden with Herzog. Her remains were found in February on Shermantine's former property out in San Andreas.
Though DNA tests have confirmed that the remains belong to Cyndi Vanderheiden, John Vanderheiden has yet to retrieve his daughter, he said.
More bones found on Shermantine's property in late February could also be those of Vanderheiden, but DNA test results were supposed to be ready last week, Vanderheiden said.
"I am worried she has slipped through the cracks," he said. "We have not heard anything."
