A Lodi man who was arrested last week for allegedly threatening a minor who forcefully entered the residence he was staying in will not be charged with any crime, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

Theodore Rieger, 31, was arrested after allegedly threatening a minor with a knife, according to the Lodi Police Department. He was apprehended by officers after emergency workers found him trapped between two vehicles in front of Lodi Memorial Hospital a day after a report was filed, police said.

Prosecutors did not file charges because it appeared likely that Rieger had acted defensively, said Kristine Reed, deputy district attorney for San Joaquin County.

“Due to the nature of the argument itself, there were issues for self-defense,” said Reed.

The incident occurred when Rieger allegedly was confronted by a juvenile who found him at a mutual friend’s residence on the 1600 block of School Street last week. The juvenile wanted to talk to Rieger about a previous disturbance, police said.

During the confrontation, Rieger tried to end the argument by slamming the door on the minor, who then kicked it open and entered the residence. The teen was then throwing things inside the house when the incident moved to the kitchen, police said.

Rieger grabbed a knife and reportedly held it in a threatening manner, authorities said.

The incident was broken up by a witness in the residence who then took the juvenile to the police station to file a report, according to police.

And, joe, I think you really live in Lodi and are employed by the city of Lodi or the Lodi News-Sentinel. These blogs may even be coming from the same Sentinel computer that Marty Weybret found through an internet hired "agent" who had been posting supposed negative past embarrassing situations about him after he dissed a certain person with distorted facts in his own blog on the Sentinel, and his agent tracked the perpetrator down to the computer the blogs were sent from and it just happened to be a Lodi News-Sentinel computer at their own office. I was wondering for a while why a certain popular employee and personal friend of mine disappeared to so fast without notice. Do you work for the Sentinel, Joe? Why are you stalking me Joe?

WOW - I'm having flashbacks of the time we didn't use our "real names".......yikes......Joe - if you really have that much free time on your hands, why don't you volunteer at the local shelter or soup kitchen or even the Goodwill - it might do you some good - instead of sitting behind your computer monitor harassing another poster. Yikes......

Joe Baxter wrote, "Mr.Chaney, you better hurry, you gonna be late for you Gay Pride meeting. :Put on your pink ruffle shirt, lace undies, fishnet stockings, make up and wig and get going before you miss all the fun. You shouldn't post when you are drunk, makes you look like the fool you are."

Oh my... that was a bit explicit.

And your racism seems to extend to the GLBT community, too, little joe.

And, joe, you sound an awful lot like Mr. Chapman, too? Could you possibly have the three faces of Eve?

Joe, the people I associate with know someone with the same name you're using and he's a pretty unsavory character. If you want to continue posting using his name, I'll ask you some pretty embarrassing questions soon. Keep up your charade, you got yourself in a bit deep and payback can be very humiliating. Keeep posting your trash, honey, you'll soon be exposed for who you really are.

And, Joe, if you're being upset on these blogs, don't be. Remember, your real name isn't Joe Baxter, so how could anyone be held responsible for comments to someone hiding behind an anonymous identity? Have a good day, Joe. Don't forget to blog about the Stockton car cat burglar that made the Lodi news. You should have some kind words for him when you see his photograph. I'm waiting, Joe.

Baxter, didn't you nearly have him tried, convicted and sent to big Bubba last week? How's your vigilante group doing, by the way? When will you have the next "burning" party?
