The San Joaquin Sheriff's Office is still looking for information on a home invasion robbery that left a 93-year-old grandmother severely injured earlier this month.
Irene Keszler was brutally attacked in her home on Armstrong Road on Nov. 4. The attack happened as the Giro d'Vino Bicycle Wine Tour race was going down Armstrong Road and Keszler was watching the cyclists.
One or more people forced their way into the home, striking Keszler in the face multiple times and causing severe facial injuries, according to officers. The suspect or suspects stole her purse, with multiple credit cards and ID cards.
Keszler, who has five grandchildren, is still recovering from her injuries, family members said.
The San Joaquin Sheriff's Department has made no arrests, and officers are still looking for any tips on the crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office at 209-468-4400. To remain anonymous, text information to investigators at 274637 using a cellphone.
