During a court appearance Monday, a Galt High School assistant principal charged with assault with a deadly weapon in an alleged golf course incident waived his preliminary hearing and is expected to enter a plea at another appearance Nov. 30, according to Calaveras Superior Court records.

According to a police report, Robert Rappleye of Elk Grove was golfing at the Greenhorn Creek Golf Course in Angels Camp in July when police said he and his golfing partners became angry over the pace of play by a golfing husband and wife.
