SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Education recently unveiled a new school accountability system called the California School Dashboard. It is a measure of school performance designed to better prepare students for the future and provide parents, educators and the public with a far more detailed picture of what is going on in local schools.

The Dashboard will go live on Wednesday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. Included in these assessments are how the schools have addressed state academic standards, parental involvement, student academic achievement and student engagement.
