An application to construct a health spa resort on Woodbridge Road will be considered tonight by the San Joaquin County Planning Commission.
Plans call for a 1,500-square-foot pool house to be converted into a spa, and a 3,850-square-foot residence to be converted into an inn with five bedrooms plus a dining area and meeting space. The applicant, Matson Family Trust, also plans to convert a garage into a food preparation area and create outdoor grounds for recreation.
A second phase calls for a 3,500-square-foot conference and event center at the resort, to be located on the north side of Woodbridge Road, 800 feet east of Lower Sacramento Road.
In other action, the county's winery ordinance task force will give an update on a possible new ordinance governing wineries in the county.
Today's Planning Commission meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Health/Planning Auditorium, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton.
