Michael Flatley, who ran unopposed for a Lockeford Community Services District seat last year, resigned recently due to a conflict of interest.
Flatley is caretaker of four acres on Jack Tone Road that is designated for Lockeford’s first community park.
The Community Services District provides water and sewer service to the Lockeford community. The district also plans to construct the park on Jack Tone Road.
Board members Gary Gordon and Noel Stetson are looking for possible replacements. After interviewing potential applicants, they will make a recommendation to the full board at the June 9 board meeting.
Anyone interested in filling the vacant seat may contact the district office at 727-5035.
