The warm weather in Lodi will continue to rise through the weekend before the possibility of a cool-off late next week.

Starting tomorrow, temperatures will be in the low 90s and will continue to linger there until next Thursday, when temperatures could drop into the 80s, said Carl Erickson, a meteorologist for AccuWeather.com, a private forecasting service.

Because of higher temperatures, Erickson said it is recommended that Lodi residents try to stay out of the sun and to try to limit being outside to either early mornings or evenings.

Due to the unusual recent weather events, he said, people need to be more aware of staying hydrated and should not leave their pets inside of cars, even with the windows rolled down.

"Though this summer weather was usual in past summers, it has been very unusual this year," he said.
