Lodi voters could see a wide open city council ballot in the 2014 election. Terms are ending for three council members: Mayor Alan Nakanishi, Councilman Phil Katzakian and Councilman Larry Hansen.

Hansen said Tuesday he will not run for re-election when his four-year term is up.

No, Doug, I'm thinking he's going to start a food blog about Lodi eateries.

Hopefully, (crosses fingers) both Hanson & Nakanishi both do not seek re-election, AND, the CC gets some NEW, YOUNG people.

The problem is that with negative posters like you, Doug, solid qualified candidates for the CC are afraid to step into the ring.

What Lodi does not need is another CC member who is involved with real estate or development.

He'll probably take a cush job with the NCPA "family" to raise Lodi's residential rates even higher. Lodi is already at, or near, the highest in the nation. Long live the king! LOL
