Lodi resident Danilo Sandoval, 20, was shot to death in Thornton during an argument Friday night at a Chevron gas station on Walnut Grove Road, just east of Interstate 5, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
A second man, Giovanni Navarro, 21, was shot once. Navarro stumbled into the mini-mart and was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital for treatment, sheriff’s Lt. Jim Cannon said.

Used to be that the citizens themselves used to be able to defend themselves against these ne'er do wells. Now if they do, they are considered racists,bigots and guilty of committing hate crimes due to political correctness and diversity promoters. Almost became a victim myself once about 25 years ago. I probably would have been arrested for my reaction then, and would definitely be arrested if it happened today.

20 years ago I would have said this must have been the work of Stockton thugs, but for quite a while Lodi has plenty of its own thugs...
