i agree, its great donors provided the tree. It just seems that with a little effort, the rope lights could be replaced with something nicer.

    There is always something better.

I am sure there is a balance going on with weatherproofing, affordability, using what you have and maybe just viewing the possibility of making it look too good would invite vandalism or the such. Homegrown appeal for good ol' lovable Lodi will always be there no matter what it is.

With Thanksgiving just slipping by I personally am thankful for the tree just existing downtown to usher in the new season. A sparkle is a sparkle . Let me be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas. - Merry Christmas !

not to be rude, but rope lights are not meant for application on Christmas trees. I see this tree every night, and those lights look horrible. Someone should do something, we still have 23 days left until Christmas. Really, come on Lodi???? Those lights make it look cheap!! I'm not rich, but who could I talk to to have those lights replaced, seriously! I'll pay for it!

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
