With loving hearts and helping hands, the Grace and Mercy Charitable Foundation is about to open their doors at a new location.

Grace and Mercy Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps the less-fortunate and homeless communities in Lodi.

The new location will be showcased at their second annual pasta dinner, Endless Pastabilities 2, to be held at Woodbridge Crossing on March 10.

“We (serve) both the community of Lodi and Stockton. We do not just focus on the homeless; we also help the low-income in these communities,” said president and founder Cheryl Francis.

Tickets will cost $16. All proceeds will go directly to Grace and Mercy Charitable Foundation homeless outreach program.

“Four months ago we took over the old Rollin’ In Dough building. All funds earned will help cover the renovation and the day-to-day operations costs,” said Francis.

For more information or to send a donation, write to P. O. Box 2236 Lodi, CA 95241, or visit gracenmercycharitablefnd.tripod.com.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
