There was no Measure C on my ballot nor was it offered at the Polling Place on Kettleman. What's the deal? Not that I care anyway.

pre$$ur$on: God forbid that family pass on their hard earned wealth to subsequent generations. You seem to harbor a nefarious ill-will towards the wine and grape community in Lodi. I know many of the farmers who you lable as "GOB's" and I can honestly say that they do more for this community than most. You berate anyone with land or money mistakenly thinking that hard work is the same a ill-gotten gains. Your Marxist attitude perpetuates the major problems our country.

On an outside chance, perhaps you could name names of the good `ol boys. I have heard you mention GOB`s a hundred times but never a name. Do they only come out at night to steel cans from garbage cans.I knew it was to good to last.Since you read my post, nothing was mentioned about a firearm, still you bring that up. Evidently finding some dirt on me is getting to a point that you must keep repeating yourself. As I said a long time ago, your posts are like water off a ducks back as far as I am concerned, and certainly not to be taken seriously. In all your posts, you have slipped back into Mr. Negitive, and just when I thought there was hope for you. I`m a happy camper, to get up with no pain and have a cup of coffee, a great way to start the day. Try it sometime, it doesn`t hurt.

All joking aside:Now here's a real definition of the good old boys network:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_ol'_boy_networkAnd lodiwine, you're even more naive than T&C. Just read this honest definition of the good old boys network. This definition describes the Lodi-Stockton good old boys network to a tee. And I'm not jealous of any of them. Most got everything they had from grandpa, who gave his wealth to his son and each generation has gotten corrupted with their greed and they're the ones that have to go to bed at night worrying. Why do you think many carry a concealed weapon? Could it be fear of someone from a past "business" transaction or even someone they've bullied or cheated? If you think the good old boys aren't alive and well in this area, then you are very naive.

Please continue to make assinine comments that make no sense. Your arguments against measure C have convinced me to vote yes. Please move to a communist country where you can expect a meager handout and everyone is equal regardless of work ethic.

Gee, thanks for the nice remarks, T&C, but you must really be out of touch. I hear the bus drivers don't even talk to you anymore since you were such an anti-union advocate and didn't want them to organize and get some decent wages and representation for themselves. T&C, just because my opinion differs from yours, I'm supposed to stop commenting? If you're so stupid as to defend the good ol' boys, maybe yu should be one of their wannabes. And, by the way, do you have any comments relating to this issue and this dysfunctional water board other than to cry on my shoulder? Those wealthy good ol" boys will be proud of you for mowing their lawn. That's a great first step to becoming a wannabe lapdog gofer for the good ol' boys.

Well now that we have Meters, maybe they could force rationing? This has happened in every state I have an office in. Utah and Texas as well as California. When will the rich be made to PAY for their unbridled use of resources? We are NOT all equal, damnit! Rich people are squandering our water!

I happen to live west of Ham Ln. I am not rich nor do I waste water, and above all I along with my neighbors are not dysfunctional. Since you do not know me or even the area I live in I would appreciate you choosing your words more carefully. I suggest reading Ross Farrow`s 10:57 post, perhaps that will help explane the situation. West of Ham Ln., we are in a different water district.

Frank your right, especially if you read Brian Pilkington`s post. This is truly Taxation without Representation since we are paying and do not have a voice in the vote. Looks like it`s a case of bend over and kiss your azz good-bye.

Lodi Citizens Living West of Ham LaneAt the recent Lodi City Council Meeting which endorsed Measure C, Mr. Prima, a former Lodi City Employee, mentioned the fact that everyone in Lodi Pays this Water Tax. Mr. Prima didn't elaborate, but I will clarify the important issue I discussed with the council members. In 1948 Lodi was a small town and never went West of Ham Lane, therefore, the North San Joaquin Water District never went West of Ham Lane. The Lodi City Council has been paying the $200,000.00 Water Tax every year from the general funds that they collect from the entire City of Lodi. In reality this is truly a case of, "Taxation without Representation". Everyone West of Ham Lane Pays the Water Tax, but does not get an opportunity to Vote on any of the North San Joaquin Water District issues. I feel very sorry for everyone West of Ham Lane paying this Water Tax, but has no voice in how the Water District is managed. If you have any further questions, please write pilkington4water@frys.com .Thank you, Bryan Pilkington, Director NSJWCD and Member, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assn.

Observer: My guess is that you live west of Ham Lane. If so, you do not live in the North San Joaquin Water Conservation District. Therefore, Measure C would not be on your ballot. Land west of Ham is in the Woodbridge Irrigation District, which is not involved in the Measure C vote.

Mr. Morehead and Pilkington seem to have researched the issue thoroughly, even asking for data from hydrologists and those familiar with recharge, which hasn't been proven to even be effective, nor even possible, while Mr. Starr seems to depend on the likes of Mr. Steffani, the district manager of the dysfunctional water district. Just looking at the shady characters involved in this water district, not only the greedy and dysfunctional board members, but those large, water hoarders and wasters that are the big voices who let their money and attorneys talk for them. I urge a vote NO on MEASURE C only for the fact that they only serve one another and care about no one else, only water and profits for themselves. This dysfunctional water board needs to be dissolved and reorganized and allowing one person, one vote when it comes to any issues concerning their little "bully pulpit" of the present. Some of the shady characters and shenanigans of the proponents of C are downright uninformed and present more spin than truth. The city council, chamber and city of Lodi endorses them because they are on the higher rung of the good old boys pig trough.
