The city of Galt is expected to receive close to $1.6 million from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments for a trio of streets-related projects. The approval was made late last month.
The projects include:

- $267,000 for the west side bike lanes to enhance connectivity throughout the city
- $100,000 for the Second Street infill project, including the installation of sidewalks, curbs, gutters and other improvements to increase pedestrian safety and accessibility.
