Of the $1 billion in lottery funds to be issued to California K-12 schools that State Controller John Chiang announced last week, Lodi Unified School District will receive $988,000 this quarter.
Galt Joint Union Elementary School District will get $136,000, while Galt Joint Union Elementary High School District will get $79,000.
Payments to K-12 schools and community colleges are made to county treasurers, who then distribute the money to school districts.
The Controller's Office makes quarterly payments based on lottery income and unclaimed online prizes. For the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, the Controller apportioned $279.1 million from the Lottery Education Fund.
Sacramento County schools will receive a total of $49 million, while San Joaquin County will get $25 million.
