On the first weekend of November each year, the Sandhill Crane Festival is held at Hutchins Street Square in Lodi. At this three-day festival, the community has the chance to learn more about the cranes through tours, workshops, art and more.
In 2012, more than 3,000 people attended the festival.
The steering committee, which oversees the festival is seeking new members. The committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lodi Public Library.
