Gizmo is a 3-year-old, long-hair Chihuahua mix. His family is in the military and they are being transferred and cannot take him and his house mate Chico with them.

He has current vaccinations and is neutered. He is a house dog and uses potty pads or will stand at the door until you notice that he needs to go outside. Gizmo knows the commands sit, stay and come. He is playful, well-mannered, sweet and affectionate. Gizmo is great with other dogs, loves children and is used to riding in the car. He will make a wonderful companion.

Gizmo is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Gizmo, call 209-368-1761.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
