Service on the J-Mack Ferry has been suspended because of emergency repairs to the underground cable that guides the ferry, according to the California Department of Transportation. The cable snapped due to heavy current, which caused storm debris.
The J-Mack, also known as the Steamboat Slough Ferry, takes people and vehicles on State 220 between Ryer Island in Solano County and Grand Island in Sacramento County.
