Latoyia Singleton, 23, of Stockton, was arrested Wednesday morning for possession with intent to sell nearly four pounds of marijuana, police said.
Sgt. William Alexander of the Lodi Police Department said they were tipped to Singleton by a local towing agency. Singleton’s car had been repossessed and workers at the impound lot found a cardboard box with the drugs inside, Alexander said.
“They were wrapped up like kilos,” he said.
The workers called police and told them Singleton was determined to return and collect her personal items from the vehicle, Alexander said. Singleton was apprehended when she arrived and signed for the items in her car.
The marijuana was contained in a cardboard box addressed to Georgia, Alexander said.
“Had the car (not been) repossessed, she could’ve shipped that package with no problem,” he said.
