Incumbent Jerry McNerney led the race for the 9th Congressional District seat Tuesday.

With all 492 precincts partially reporting as of 12:44 p.m. Friday, June 13, unofficial results show McNerney, a Democrat, with 36,979 votes, (49.4 percent). Republican Tony Amador of Lodi was second with 19,733 votes (26.4 percent), followed by fellow Republicans Steve Colangelo with 13,618 votes (18.2 percent) and Karen Davis with 4,469 votes (6 percent).
