Mountain View’s Art & Wine Festival has been making a name for itself as one of the Bay Area’s best. Voted “Best Festival in the South Bay” multiple times by readers of Metro, the 46th annual festival returns to Mountain View on Sept. 9 and 10.

The Art & Wine Festival showcases handcrafted work by 500 of America’s top artists and craftmakers, along with live music on stage and in the streets throughout downtown.

Buyers and browsers will find thousands of handcrafted items by America’s best artists while browsing among 600 well-stocked booths featuring original work in glass, ceramics, metals, fiber, leather, wood, jewelry and fine art.

The big Saturday evening Sunset Soul Train Dance Party Concert will feature the sensational Pacific Soul Band, and Salsa Sunday will spotlight Caravanserai and Ruckatan.

Thirteen sensational bands will play a wide-ranging musical mix on the Linked-In Headliner Stage in Civic Center Plaza and multiple street locations throughout downtown, offering up salsa, Motown, rhythm and blues, contemporary country, classic rock, jazz, soul, world-beat, Americana, Latin rock, disco and party music.

Festival-goers can enjoy seasonal craft beer, premium wine, sangria, mimosas, fresh-fruit margaritas and signature cocktails.

Festival eateries will be serving up a world of flavorful fare, including Polish and chicken-portobello sausages, homemade corn dogs, beer-battered garlic, crab and truffle fries, succulent chicken and pork on-a-stick, teriyaki chicken rice bowls, smoked turkey legs, fried calamari, shaved ice and more.

Booths will sell food items to take home, such as balsamic vinaigrettes, maple syrups, gourmet candy, olive oils, fruit butters, beef jerky, honey and all kinds of other treats.

There will also be home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays, and an organic and green products showcase. Kids can enjoy bungee jumping, a 24-foot climbing wall, an obstacle course, temporary henna and glitter tattoos, face painting and animal puppets.
