GALT — A juvenile suspect was arrested Monday after being linked to a stabbing that occurred Friday night in Galt.

On July 24, Galt police responded to a report that three adult males attacked a man riding a bike on the 600 block of Fourth Street, according to Galt Police Lt. Brian Kalinowski.

The victim was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds and was rushed to a local hospital for surgery with life-threatening injuries.

Galt Detectives later traced the vehicle, which belonged to one of the suspects, to Lodi, where two arrests were made.

The vehicle and the two suspects, Julian Gomez of Galt, 19, and Jose Avalos of Lodi, 20, were taken to the Galt Police Department, and later were booked into the Sacramento Main Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and additional gang enhancements.

Galt police said in a press release that an investigation into the incident is ongoing, and that no further information has been released at this time.
