Who: Anne, Jeff, Katie and Sarah McLain and Stan Oberg.
Hometown: Lodi and Moraga.
Vacation spot: Summer Family Camp at Mount Hermon.
Highlights: Connecting with God, our family and family camp friends. Fabulous speakers, seminars, day camp counselors and musicians like Jack Pearson and Buddy Greene make Family Camp a summer highlight for our family.
Family adventures during the week include a train ride to Santa Cruz, family games and campfires. This year we ventured to Año Nuevo to see the elephant seals.
Climbing walls, banana slug kissing, archery, boating on Zayante Creek and swimming at the pool were highlights for the girls. Creating tie-dye shirts for the family is a must-do, too!
This year, we tackled the Sequoia Ropes Course with a zipline as the finale! Soon, we’ll try the world-class Redwood Canopy tour that zips over 100 feet high through the Bean Creek Canyon. Of course, we always love the great food (barbecues, pancakes, s’mores and more) and fellowship ... that is what keeps Mount Hermon Family Camp on our calendar each summer!
